Cedardale vs. Winchester White

Way to respond to the martini-bar rest cure! Dominating five of the eight courts, the Cedardale Green women handed out plenty of everything bagels. Fighting for their win, Commando DeLuca and the Ringahhhh took the match by one game. The formidable Arlene and Lisa rocked a 6-0, 6-0 straight set win not to be outdone by Leslie and Lisa who handed their opponents a first set bagel and took the match win. Fending off Helen Keller line calls, Lesley and Carol brought home a team point - can someone please tell Lesley it's not about the shoes or the hair??!! Dorian and I won 6-1, 6-2 in straight sets with winning Captain volleys, low, cross court returns and down the alley shots that left our opponents sighing. Nancy and Fran were up until Fran pulled a muscle. I don't know what you do on your court, but on my court we yell, "Take a Knee!!" If you ever find yourself being recruited to a Brazilian soccer team, these dramatics will likewise be quite useful.

Jeannie will celebrate her Italian sock and sandal wearing heritage whenever and wherever the hell she wants. I'm just sayin'.

The Captain has given up on trying to provide healthy lunches in, of all places, a health club. So, enjoy your quesadillas, cheese, and sour cream. I'll let the thoracic surgeons know that they should go ahead and buy new boats.

The votes are in. Dorian's Rocky Balboa boxing kicks received affirming nods from most. Others indicated that what goes on in the observation galley will, in fact, continue (my guess is it will likely escalate). Three women indicated that her shoes DO make their butts look big, with one person considering death by peppermint oil a reasonable sentence. Dorian, it was a minority vote, but I'd keep my coffee mug covered as a precaution.
